The Hardest Peace: Expecting Grace in the Midst of Life's Hard {Review}

The Hardest Peace is the toughest and yet the sweetest book I have read in a long time. It was so touching that we have added to our children’s must read list in school. While I was expecting the book to be hard to read, being under the impression that it was the story of a women dealing with cancer, I was not prepared for the loving grace that she displays.
Kara Tippetts shares her story and her walk through the lens of God’s love. Several times I had to just stop reading and spend time in prayer. Not many books have that effect on me.
As I was reading her story, I was drawn again and again to the fact that without embracing God’s love and calling in our life; we will never be satisfied or at peace. There are so many things that happen to us in life that “isn’t fair” or isn’t what we planned.
There will be “hard” things in all of our lives. It’s up to us to stay close to God in order to know that He is with us, helping us, loving us.
The main take away from this book was the lesson that in all things, we need to love BIG…in all things! We need to make every moment count with those we love.
You can purchase The Hardest Peace: Expecting Grace in the Midst of Life's Hard on Amazon or at your local family bookstore. Also make sure to keep up with her story by connecting with her on her blog, Mundane Faithfulness, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
