One of my FAVORITE places to eat when in Jacksonville, Florida is The Yum Yum Tree. I have fond memories of going there as a treat with my mom and granma as a teen girl. It was a special place we went when we were meeting for lunch.
So of course while we were traveling this year, we HAD to stop in for lunch!
Yes, we all had the giggles and were super excited since we didn't think we were going to have time to make the stop but we managed.
For us, the chicken salad plate is the ONLY meal we order! LOVE THEIR CHICKEN SALAD! And of course, lunch wouldn't be lunch without a little something sweet…it is vacation after all…
We did at least SHARE the dessert!
The next time you are in Jacksonville, Florida.. you have to stop and eat at The Yum Yum Tree. It is located at 6225 St. Augustine Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32217
They are also on Facebook and Twitter. Make sure you check the hours as they have limited operating times. Go early for a seat and a fantastic lunch! You can also call ahead for to go orders but it isn't the same as being there and having the lovely southern ladies wait on you! Of course you have to order their sweet tea! Well… maybe not if you are having the salad plate AND dessert!
