Time Together: Me and Grandpa
Having spent many a summer at Granma and Granpa’s house, I can relate to most of the items in the book Time Together: Me and Grandpa, written by Maria Catherine. As an adult, I can look back and see all the little moments that were spent teaching me without me knowing that he was sharing his heart and skills.
Being together in the day to day is what builds the memories. This little book points this out quite clearly. We all know that more is caught than taught when teaching our children. It is the little quiet moments that will be remembered.
Book Description:
Small moments between a Grandpa and child are chronicled in this picture book using beautiful illustrations and minimal text. From taking a nap to reading the newspaper, these small moments are the ones that create big memories and show the importance of family.
This book was written for children between the ages of two and six but even my older children have enjoyed reading it to the younger ones.
