Timothy’s Home {Review}
Timothy’s Home written by Elaine Littau is book five and the final installment in the Nan’s Heritage Series.
The main character is Timothy who is a teen who has been at the mercy of father’s abuse for far too long until his uncle decides to step in and save the young boy. Sending him off in an old travel trunk on the train, Timothy managed to not only survive but thrive in the care of a ranching family he met while looking for work.
I enjoy reading books that have scriptures woven throughout and this was a heart touching story. What kept going through my mind was that sin, even forgiven sin has consequences.
God doesn’t promise that things will be easy; He promises us HE will be with us in the struggles. That point was repeated again and again in this book.
This book touched me on so many levels. Having lived through some of the scenes as a child, I found myself in tears while reading. Then, as God always does, He reaches down and comforts those that seek him.
I was surprised at how the book ended. I would have loved more in this series but see that the story is complete. I am looking forward to the next series from Elaine Littau.
You can purchase Timothy’s Home on Amazon. I would recommend this book for adults. I think it would upset my teens to read about the abuse.
