Truly Juices {Review}
If your family is anything like mine, you use a lot of tomato products; I’m talking tomato sauce, puree, paste, salsa, you name it! I was excited when I got my Truly Juices products to use and review because it’s something that really fits into our meal plan!
First, let me tell you about the product line. Truly Juices offers a variety of tomato and vegetable juices. They come in these cute cartons which are recyclable, and shelf stable! In my package I got one of the following:
- Truly Rustic Cut Tomatoes in a light puree
- Truly Finely Chopped Tomatoes in a light puree w/onion, carrot & celery
- Truly Petite Cut Tomatoes in a light puree
- Truly Tomato! Juice with sea salt
- Truly Veggie! Juice with sea salt
The tomatoes are grown by local families close to the processing plant and they are all grown from GMO-free seeds. These tomatoes go from picked to processed and packaged within a matter of hours, not frozen and shipped for processing like some of the other companies. I also love there are no preservatives; they contain exactly what they say on the label. Plus this entire line is gluten free which is important to so many families these days. And they are completely based in the USA from the seeds to the farms and the processing plant!
Okay, so they come in great, environmental friendly packaging and have no preservatives, but how do they taste?
The Truly Finely Chopped Tomatoes were delicious! This is a mix of tomatoes along with a base of onions, celery and carrots finely chopped and tossed in. It had a nice balance of salt and except for adding a little garlic for my family’s taste, this would be great to use as a stand-alone sauce or in a soup.
Next we tried the Truly Petite Cut Tomatoes and they were better than the canned version we use. These tasted fresh and had a great texture for when you need the smaller pieces of tomatoes for your dish. It’s the equivalent of a 28 ounce can you buy in the grocery store.
The Truly Rustic Cut Tomatoes were one of our favorites for the taste testing. We decided they would be perfect in our classic stewed tomato dish that we make with tomatoes and sugar and let simmer on the stove for an hour. The “rustic” part comes in since they are not uniform in size, but more like crushed instead.
Then we tried the Truly Tomato! Juice which has the juice of about 13 tomatoes in it. It comes with sea salt already added and was perfect right into the glass or into the spaghetti sauce on the stove. The twist top breaks through the outer plastic seal as well as the inner foil cover so I didn’t have to fight with it at dinner time. Plus, since it seals back up, I can keep what I don’t use back in the fridge (assuming there is any left of course).
Lastly, my crew tried the Truly Veggie! Juice and immediately the recipes and ideas started flowing. I would add a little hot sauce to mine, but otherwise it’s perfect right from the container. It’s a blend of 12 tomatoes plus 6 other kinds of vegetables (beets, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, and green pepper). It was smooth in the glass and I think families who need “help” getting their loved ones to eat more veggies, this would be a neat trick to slip into a spaghetti sauce or over baked steak.
Each of these items were a hit in my house and the prices make they sell for online are only one more reason that we’ll start using the Truly Juice! line of tomatoes and veggies products.
You can go to the Truly Juice website to learn more about their products or find them on Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube.
Disclosure: I received free products for my use to facilitate my honest and fair review; all opinions are honest and completely my own.

I’ve never heard of this brand before but it sounds really good. I’d like to the Tomato juice and also the Rustic Cut Tomatoes in Puree.
