Try The World Gourmet Box Subscription
Have you heard about the Try The World monthly food subscription service? Every other month you will receive a box of food from a different country around the world. This month the box was from Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was packed with lots and lots of goodies!
Buenos Aires is often referred to as the Paris of South America because it’s a melting pot of cultures which couldn’t be more apparent than in their food.
The first product we tried was the butter cookies. Oh, these butter cookies are mouth watering flavors that have a sweet and salty taste to them. Absolutely wonderful!
The Dolce de leche or caramel sauce is a smooth caramel sauce. The best was to eat it is…with a spoon of course! Yes, it’s also good as a topping on on bread, ice cream, did I mention on a spoon? This will not last long on a tray with fresh fruit and crackers.
Poured into a bowl, the Chimichurri sauce looks like a very very thick bread dipping sauce or simmering sauce. It’s made from parsley, garlic, oregano, red pepper, and olive oil. Normally, it would be served with vegetables or bread as an appetizer. It does have a good bite to it.
Also included was a three pack of Chamana & Inti Zen tea. I found the tea to be stronger than I usually enjoy, but once I read that the Dulce de Leche and the Dulcor were often served with it as a snack it made sense. You would need to stronger base tea to hold up against the powerful flavors of the other dishes.
Another spread included was the Memories of Patagonia. It is a sweet blend of red fruits, Malbec wed wine and honey.
The last item we got to try was a jar MQA which is a ground olive paste. It looks like a pesto but has a richer flavor base. We used it on crackers with goat cheese and it was amazing!

Thanks for the review. I’ve heard of this box subscription and wondered what kinds of food would be included.
