Tuna Squish Review
We go through a lot of tuna in this house, especially during the summer, mostly for tuna salad. But the biggest complaint is smelling like fish when you’re done draining the tuna! Then I got the Tuna Squish to review and now it’s not such a hassle anymore.
It’s common knowledge, preparing canned tuna is messy, smelly, leaves your hands sore and stinky from ferociously squeezing all of the unwanted juice or oil out of the can…not to mention the potential injury from digging that sharp lid out of the can with a fork or your fingers. Instead of accepting this as the end-all to tuna consumption we made it a mission to not deter from enjoying our favorite tuna dishes but rather find a solution to never touch tuna again.
After hours of research and testing, a simple, cost-effective way to eliminate the muss and fuss of tuna was born: The Tuna Squish. With the use of the Tuna Squish the dream of not touching your tuna is now a reality.
When you use the Tuna Squish stinky hands and cut fingers are now replaced with the pure and personal enjoyment of consuming lots and lots of tuna dishes.
Simple. Easy. Delicious.
So whether you are a tuna lover, a healthy eater, an athlete or a brainiac you can rest assured, with the Tuna Squish you will never have to touch your tuna again.
So the Tuna Squish is a plastic fish (no, really, it is) that opens up and you set the tuna can inside. You smash the handles together to smash the water or oil out of the can and down into the sink or trash can. Then when you lift the top handle, the magnet lifts the lid along with it (which will release when you press the fin) and it can be disposed of without risking a cut on your hands. Then your tuna is drained and ready to be eaten or mixed into your recipe!
I definitely enjoy the concept of the Tuna Squish. The design is super cute, to the fact I might even find a spot to hang it when it’s not in use. It takes just a quick rinse with hot water and allow to air dry to clean. Plus my family can eat more tuna without worrying about the mess and stinky smell leftover that turned them off of using it in a meal.
The only drawback for me, and it’s just personal preference, is whether I use a manual or electric can opener, I still manage to get a little of the juice in my hands or counter. It definitely helps when it comes to draining, don’t get me wrong. I just think this would be an awesome product if it somehow could also open the can for me too, to be completely hands off.

Same thing in our house. People love the taste but not the smell.
