VeggieTales: In The House {Review}
We’re definitely a family that enjoys VeggieTales, starting with my kids were younger and now even my grandkids are still watching these wonderful characters! Who doesn’t love singing and dancing produce?! The newest addition to the collection is a NetFlix exclusive, VeggieTales: In The House, available November 26th.
Bob the Tomato, Larry the Cucumber and all their veggie friends venture off the countertop and into a bigger world for the very first time in VeggieTales In the House, which brings the beloved faith-based brand to their first ever Netflix original series. With important life lessons and inspirational messages built into each story, every episode also features a brand-new song, ensuring that the veggies are always fresh … and always fun!
I always loved that I could turn on a VeggieTales DVD and not have to worry about what the kids were going to see and hear. It doesn’t take much exposure to “not kid friendly” material for them to pick up on it! And I don’t have to worry when the kids have their friends over because this is a great neutral show that shouldn’t upset any parent.
Right now, there are several exclusive episodes, only available to NetFlix subscribers, for the latest adventures of this silly group of friends. Here is a list of titles and a short description of each one:
- Puppies and Guppies: Larry and Laura Carrot want to adopt puppies of their own.
- Sorry We’re Closed Today: The Veggies try to hide from their troubles and each other in Pa Grape’s store.
- Bob and the Awesome Frosting Mustache: Bob thinks having a mustache will change everything.
- Bob and Larry: Gettin’ Angry: Bob and Larry learn what it means to not go to bed angry.
- Bob’s Bad Breath: Larry’s bad habits make it hard for Bob to do his new job.
- Trading Places: Bob and Jimmy want new roommates so they decide to swap and get surprising results.
- Jimmy and Jerry Are Rich: Bob and Larry hatch a scheme to buy a monster truck.
- Feelin’ Hot Hot Hot: Pa Grape warns a freezing cold Petunia not to turn up the heat in his store.
- Laura at Bat: Laura thinks she only has to dream she’s a great athlete to be a great athlete.
- Pie Fight: It’s sour grapes for Madame Blueberry when she loses a baking contest.
We all know it can be a challenge to get kids to eat their vegetables. But it’s a cinch to get them to call their Veggies!
