Who doesn't love some delicious, cold, soft serve yogurt when they're on vacation? Or just because it's a day that ends in “Y”? On our trip through Milton, Florida, we stopped to check out a local frozen yogurt (and more) place called Very Berry, right in the middle of everything.

We have a few choices back at home in Florence, Kentucky, for frozen yogurt. I'd say except for the building design and the number of flavors, they are pretty much the same. We'll hit any of them depending on deals and if they are busy.

But Very Berry is a bit different. Yes, they have a number of frozen yogurt choices and a mind blowing amount of toppings. Not only could you get cookies & cream in the same bowl or cone with strawberry or key lime, you could top it all off with cereal, coconut, nuts, candy or one of more than 2 dozen topping choices! Between the four of us, we had three different flavor combinations and a variety of choices ranging from Mom's tame flavors to the wild imagination of the teenager and six year old.

And it's not just the yogurt that keeps folks coming back; they also make sandwiches, wraps and subs every day. Plus they have salads and soups so you can get a quick meal too, not just dessert. And as if this wasn't enough, they also offer fountain sodas and coffees for you to choose from.

As far as seating goes, they have a number of table/booth options, though I saw a fair number of customers taking their frozen yogurt out the door and head back to the office or stroll to the waterfront nearby. They have a bright and fun decor, and the staff was very friendly answering our questions and getting our creations rung up and paid for.

I'd definitely return to Very Berry in Milton, Florida, the next time we're local. Whether you stop in for yogurt, lunch, or getting an easy and delicious meal to go, you can't go wrong with this local, small business.
