White Chocolate Popcorn
We call one of our favorite popcorn dishes, a white chocolate popcorn, Painter Popcorn because a friend made it for us over the holidays. Donna Painter got the whole crew addicted to Painter Popcorn! Once you try it, you will be addicted too!
It is also just too easy to make…we always make several batches as the first one doesn’t make it through the evening 🙂
- 1 bag of hull-less popcorn (plain or butter flavored)
- 1 bag white chocolate chips
- 2 sheets of parchment paper or foil
Optional – candy sprinkles
Dump Popcorn into a large (huge) bowl
Melt white chocolate in glass bowl in microwave. Start with 30 seconds. Stir, cook additional 10 seconds at a time until melted and smooth.
Drizzle melted chocolate over popcorn, stirring to coat well.
Spread out on foil or parchment paper to cool.
Add sprinkles if desired!
** Milk chocolate works too… it just doesn’t shell over like the white…so you have to lick your fingers more often! The white is not messy and stores easily.
This will become one of your favorite desserts!
My husband loves white chocolate. This looks so easy to make that I am going to let my teenage boys make it for there Dad for is Birthday Party! Thanks for the info.
Always a hit! Made this again for a food day at work. Good for breakfast or lunch or middle of the afternoon…whenever.
Looks very festive!
