Window Bird Feeder {Review}
A few years ago, my husband bought me some bird feeders for the tree in front of our patio. The way he placed them, I could see them from the couch or my desk in the office and boy, were they a busy place! Our son has also started to enjoy watching the birds, so we decided to check out the Window Bird Feeder from Yellow Beaks.
- Made of lightweight, see through acrylic which makes bird watching easy. The transparent premium plastic does not yellow, and incredibly easy to clean and to refill the seeds. With dimensions of 9.6 x 5.9 x 6.6 inches, this is a large capacity feeder.
- 3 strong all-weather industrial strength suction cups attach to any window surface, and able to withstand extreme weather. Just mount it, and watch the birds from the inside of your home!
- An innovative wide opening allows for easy access and attracts a variety of small and large birds, with bird perch for wild birds to land on and enjoy the seeds. Our customers report a variety of wildlife, like finch, goldfinch, cardinal, chickadee, cockatiels, bluebird, blue jay, robin, canary, mynah, wren, titmice, bunting, grosbeak, etc in their feeder.
- Wide-angled roof design that shelters birds from rain and snow, while at the same time, prevent bird seed from getting wet. The angled roof is a nightmare for backyard squirrels, making this a unique squirrel proof bird feeder.
- BONUS: You’ll receive a copy of “The Ultimate Insider’s Guide to Backyard Bird Watching”, which tells you the type of feeds to use, best ways to attract birds to your garden, our reviews of the various type of feeders, and much more!
This is a cute little birdhouse that is made of clear acrylic. We hung ours on my son’s bedroom window so he can watch it while he’s playing or even resting in the afternoon. It was simple to mount with 3 large suction cups (no tools required!) and then we filled it with birdseed.
Because it’s clear, you can see inside of it when the birds come in to eat. The opening on the front is fairly large so several sizes of local birds can easily perch and eat from the seed pile.
It hasn’t rained yet since we hung the window bird feeder, but it looks like it’s designed to stay fairly dry unless it’s a big storm.
As far as cleaning it, the way the holes for the suction cups are designed, you can slip the feeder off of the cups so they will stay in place. But they are sturdy enough that little fingers shouldn’t be able to yank it down without some trouble (hopefully enough to signal for an adult to investigate LOL).
Plus we’re reading through the book that came free with our purchase, The Ultimate Insider’s Guide to Backyard Bird Watching. It is filled with tips to attract birds, what food to use, and how to maintain the window bird feeder so it lasts for years to come.
You can purchase your own Window Bird Feeder on Amazon today! It would make a great gift for kids and adults alike. Don’t forget to pick up some birdseed too!
