Zipadee-Zip Review

To say that during the last thirty something years of raising children I have seen the baby equipment change would be an understatement. Some of the items just make me smile and shake my head but every once in a while something comes along that will make me stop and think.. yep, this would have been a great help when my crew were little.

The Zipadee-Zip is one of those items. I love their motto: “Inspiring Dreams One Night at A time” as any parent knows how sweet it is when their little one learns to sleep through the night.

Swaddling was something I was taught by my grandmother way back when she played with me and my baby dolls. So when my children came along, swaddling was just part of their routine. Sometime over the years, this fell out of favor with the “acceptable” child rearing gurus.

Fast forward to modern day and swaddling is back in fashion. Personally, I still swaddle any baby that I have in my arms for any length of time. My married children call it the “Granma power” of being able to get any baby to sleep. LOL.. No, it’s not a trick; it is simply getting the baby snug, warm and feeling safe so they just fall asleep.

Our last couple of grandbabies has been tanks..not babies! Our daughter had to cut the feet out of the swaddlers she was using because her little man was so tall that he out grew the largest swaddler available. We even made larger baby blankets so we could still swaddle him.

I do remember the transition period of when a little one is no longer content to be still and starts rolling over and pulling up. It is a tough time for parents as the little one doesn’t want to be covered up but they need the warmth. If I had known about Zipadee-Zip, all of my grandbabies would have been in them!

After nap time, our little man was happy to play in his Zippadee-Zip! It didn’t slow him down at all.
