A Love Letter from God {Book Review}
Do you cherish letters you’ve received? They’ve always been special to me. And I hope to instill that in my children as well. That’s why I absolutely love A Love Letter from God, by P.K. Hallinan, which is a what a personal letter from God to a child might say.
I love you, My child, so hear what I say:
Nothing can pry Me or drive Me away.
Your future’s as brilliant as the sun on the sea…
And I’ll love you forever, through all eternity.
How beautiful to imagine if God sent us personal letters, especially to our children, to help keep us close to His side. This is a wonderfully illustrated book with cut-outs make this a fun read for our little ones too! I enjoyed the easy way it is written so the young minds understand, along with the bright colors to keep my child’s attention on the pages.
This is a touching reminder that God loves all of us, and we are all different but talented in some way. And those talents are not to be wasted but celebrated, since God created us that way. This is a perfect book for Valentine’s Day, a birthday, or any other special occasion to gift a copy to a child in our lives. I think I’ll be putting a copy in our school room’s library so they can look through it themselves if they feel they want to see and read those precious words.
About the author:
P. K. Hallinan has been creating books for children since his wife first asked him to write for their two boys more than 30 years ago. Today Hallinan writes uplifting stories about holidays, relationships, and life values. “When I started this project, I felt that God told me to ‘Just let children know how much I love them.’ So I asked Him to speak the words Himself, through my heart, and I would put them to paper. And I believe He did this. This book’s message reinforces the presence of God in a child’s life by showing how God manifests Himself at every moment of every day,” said Hallinan.
