Favorite Food

What one food could you eat everyday for the rest of your life?

This is an easy writing prompt for me. My comfort food would be a Squash Medley with bacon and onions. I love this medley. Yellow squash, zucchini, bacon and yellow onions. OH MY – THIS IS SO GOOD!

Of course any of the four items are also great alone. Baked, broiled, grilled, boiled… they are all comfort food to my soul.

My grandmother used to make this dish for me anytime we celebrated anything! That seems to be the way with the ladies of the south. Birthday? New Job? Good Report Card? Sad? Happy? ….and Grandmother would be baking/cooking away all your favorite foods.  For directions on cooking this medley, read my article on the End of Summer.

Do you have a comfort food or favorite dish that you would be able to say….

I could eat that everyday for the rest of my life!!!

I could eat cheesecake every day for the rest of my life, but I sure would hate to see how much weight that would add to my already big butt. 😉

Carrot Cake with LOTS of frosting is my weakness & favorite. (especially with a cup of strong, black dark roast coffee) 🙂

Your dish looks delicious. I have a favorite dish that I like to-it is German Stuffed Cabbage. My Aunts made this for me when I was growing up and it is so delicious! I would like to make your recipe for your favorite food.
