Kids Helping Kids Fix Broken Hearts
I want to share a charity with you that I recently discovered during a blog hop. What is so neat about this charity is that the three oldest children in the Kladar family started this charity because of their love and concern for other hurting children! They named their charity, Kids Helping Kids Fix Broken Hearts! Now that name has to warm the heart and touch the soul of every parent.
The mission of Kids Helping Kids Fix Broken Hearts, a 501(c)3 Non Profit Organization, focuses on helping “children in need of lifesaving heart surgery by providing funds for transportation to a hospital, food, lodging, and for procedures necessary to save or enhance their quality of life”.
Money received from the sale of their dishtowels and from donations is used to pay for travel, food and lodging expenses for the parents of children needing heart surgery away from their hometown as well as for other expenses related to the surgery not covered by insurance.
How you can support the charity?
Presentation:
The Kladar Kids are available to come and share their experiences including a documentary about their charity. Contact them about setting up a visit.
Purchase a dishtowel. These are the cutest towels for $5.00 each.
Host an Event:
Set up a fundraising drive to collect donations or sell dishtowels at your place of business or organization/club.
Product Details:
The dishtowels are 100% cotton. They are approximately 24 X 26 inches. Dishtowels are machine washable and have a cute screen print that will not run or fade.
Each dishtowel comes with a card attached that describes how the charity began and contains contact information and website.
Of course I had to order several of these as soon as I read about their story!

What a great charity and started by children. We have heart disease in my family and my children had some procedures growing up. My son is 25 and already has a difibrillator and pacemaker. Thanks for sharing.
WHat a wonderful way to teach kids to help others
It’s so nice when children are taught to do things for others with no expectation of a return. Selfless acts are beautiful!
This is an important cause – thanks for shedding light on it.
what a great charity! i will definitely be talking to my kids about it!
Thanks for putting this out there. What a great thing.
This is a great project for the kids to carry into adulthood and hopefully keep them close
