Resurrection Rolls

Resurrection Rolls

Resurrection Rolls

These have been called several names over the years, but with Easter coming soon I thought I would share them again.

Resurrection Rolls

Ingredients:

1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
8 large marshmallows
1 stick Melted butter
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/2 cup Sugar

Instructions:

~ Unroll the crescent rolls, separating the triangles
~ Each triangle shaped section of crescent roll represents the tomb
~ Each marshmallow represents the body of Christ
~ Dip the marshmallow in the butter and roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture as this represents the oils and spices the body was anointed with upon burial
~ Place the marshmallow on the larger end of the triangle and carefully wrap it around the marshmallow
~ Make sure all seams are sealed tightly. (If not, the marshmallow will “ooze” out)
~ Bake according to package directions
~ Cool completely

When you break open the tomb….the body of Christ is no longer there!!

** We made these with brown sugar and no cinnamon.

These are so good I think I will stick a marshmallow inside all my crescent rolls in the future!

We made resurrection cookies last year. MY kids did not eat them so I was going to skip them this year but maybe I will try the rolls.

Warning, these are addictive. I don’t think many actually made it to the table, with all the “helpers” in the kitchen for the test run LOL
