The Good Dinosaur Advent Calendar & Activity Sheets
The movie that everyone has been waiting on is out everywhere! “The Good Dinosaur” asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo (voice of Raymond Ochoa) makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.
We were able to view the movie a few days prior to being released and took our 6 year old and 3 year old along since that has been all they have talked about for weeks. Personally, I think this was a movie that not all children will enjoy. It was all over our 3 year old’s level so he just liked the images and watching the “dinos’ in the movie.
Our 6 year old had a completely different reaction.
There were some intense moments that had the little ones grabbing for momma’s hand but nothing too graphic. Our little one did not get upset about the dinosaurs fighting but he cried at the end.
Of course there was humor for the adults that had most of us rolling (and went right over the little ones thankfully).
This was probably the favorite section for our little ones. They can’t wait to try to get the fire flies to all light up at the same time.
