Easy Family Dinner with Free Beef

Easy Family Dinner with Free Beef

Easy Family Dinner with Free Beef

We have all gotten the phone call that a friend is sick, had their baby early, was in an accident, and any other number of sudden need calls. How do you respond when asked to provide a easy family dinner for a family in need within the hour?

Instead of calling ahead and ordering delivery or stopping to pick up fast food in route, why not use your pantry and save time and money?

Most of us would agree that weeknights are hectic and a reliable dinner solution is key to get you through the week. When you don’t have time to plan, or when life gets in the way of your plans, having Hamburger Helper as a backup just makes sense.

Easy Family Dinner with Free Beef

Hamburger is a staple in our house. We buy a side of beef each fall and enjoy the savings all year long. Even with that much beef, we usually run out of hamburger early summer so I start watching for it to go on sale. When it does, I buy at least five or more pounds to brown, season and freeze for those in a hurry meals that sneak up on us all the time. By buying and browning, having my Make Ahead Ground Beef turns panic into dinner in minutes. Another awesome way to save time when using ground beef is to use your slow cooker to brown large quantities.

Right now is a great time to stock up on  Hamburger Helper. Not only is #Helper available in several styles and flavors, you can grab #Freebeef with your purchase!

Easy Family Dinner with Free Beef

Did you know you can feed your family with one box and one pound of ground beef? With the free ground beef rebate, you can get dinner on the table for your family for less than $3.00! Add a side salad and toasted bread and you are still under $5 for a family of four.

Helper has always been a value brand— launched in the 1970’s to help consumers stretch their dollars while also enjoying a delicious and hearty meal. They are demonstrating their value goals again, in a new way, with free ground beef!

Make sure you grab your rebate coupon soon. It's easy to do by clicking on the image below to print the rebate.

This article reminds me of a funny story. Back in 1972 when I was married my budget was not great. I can remember buying 7 Helpers a week and a 10 pound package of hamburger for $4.90. We ate these quite often until my husband got a better job!

That was a good deal. Ground beef is so expensive. I can buy steak that costs less per pound. What’s wrong with this picture?

I always end up adding to Hamburger Helper dishes to make it go further but it still makes for a easy meal that my son likes.

We had hamburger taco helper the other day. I always use beans instead of the beef and it tastes better.

I must have read the title wrong. I thought there was a way to get free beef! LOL. Well, this is sort of a way to get free beef while feeding yourself.
