Eggnog French Toast

Eggnog French Toast

Eggnog French Toast

French Toast is one of my favorite snacks. One that I like so much that I will make it in the middle of the afternoon. I have making it down to a no brainer that I can whip up in just a couple of minutes.

With the holidays over, I was looking for a way to use up a batch of our homemade Eggnog. Yep, you know where I went with the thought…

Ingredients:
1 cup Eggnog (store bought or homemade)
2 slices of bread
1 Tablespoon butter

Directions:
Melt butter in a skillet over medium high heat
Pour eggnog in a flat dish (I use paper plate so I can toss it in the trash)
Dip one slice of bread in the eggnog turning to coat
Place eggnog covered bread into the skillet and cook on each side until golden brown

Optional:
Sprinkle with powdered sugar

I cut my toast into strips so I can pick it up and enjoy on the go. The eggnog has so much flavor that syrup isn't needed but you could always add it to the eggnog mixture prior to cooking. For other times of the year when you do not have eggnog, check out our Easy French Toast recipe.

I love eggnog. I wish it were sold year round. This recipe sounds good. Is there a recipe for eggnog too?

I love French toast and I love eggnog. One of my daughters has made eggnog cookies and they were amazing, so I’m imagining that these would take great, too. I can’t wait to try this recipe!
