Summer Fruit Smoothie

June 12, 2016 SimplySherryl 49 Comments

Summer Fruit Smoothie

Summer Fruit SmoothiePrepare yourself for a bold taste of summer with this fruit smoothie. The juice adds enough sweetness that I usually do not need to add any sweetener. Because of the high water content of these fruits, this smoothie tends to melt down fairly quickly.

Another way to use this blend of fruit is to freeze in an ice cube tray and use the frozen cubes to chill and flavor a pitcher of water.

Ingredients:
1 cup seedless watermelon
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/2 cantaloupe
1 banana
1/4 cup pineapple
1 cup ice
4 to 5 fresh basil leaves

Directions:
Place all the items in your blender or smoothie machine and let it rip! It really doesn't get any easier. Enjoy!

The fruit smoothie sounds good. I’m not sure about the basil leaf. It’s pretty pungent.

My fiancee bought me a Ninja Smoothie maker for my birthday. I’m not usually a fan of household appliances as gifts as feel they are more of a household need but I am addicted. This recipe would also be great with adding wine to the recipe like a moscato.

A recipe complete with some of the readily available fruit – shared / liked with that of many for which I’m sure will enjoy them throughout the Summer! Many ideas come to mind, it might even be prepared for that of an energy drink when doing that of fundraisers to reinstate that of the vitamins that will wither in the heat of the sun!
