Thanksgiving Menu Planning

Thanksgiving Menu Planning

Thanksgiving Menu Planning
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday but it seems to sneak up on me every year. Not sure why it happens each year, but I am always scrambling this same weekend to get my menu planned for our gathering.

The best way for me to stay on target and keep my sanity is to make a schedule. Not only do I schedule my meals for the long weekend, I create shopping lists, cooking schedules, and a cleaning schedule. Lists help me feel like I am in control…… if only in my mind!

We do not follow the traditional menu for most holidays. Several of our children don’t like Turkey! Can you believe it? So for years, they always found other items to eat…no one went hungry, but they didn't enjoy the celebration because of the main entree. We changed up our menu about a decade ago and it hasn't changed too much since then….why change something that everyone enjoys and looks forward to each year?

Links to the recipes are posted when possible.

Looks like a yummy menu. I’m a big list person too, and always have a weekly menu list on my fridge, and have one for my Thanksgiving meal as well. Good food with family and friends, that’s what it’s all about.

What a great looking menu, Ours isn’t nearly as elaborate lol. I guess we just keep it simple, Ned is always working so its something I can make before or after work.
